Counting Fake Jobs Keeps Official Unemployment Below 10%

As told below by Wake Up America, the government uses a model to count unemployment that juices the numbers in favor of the administration, which thereby keeps the official jobless figure below the politically-damaging psychological barrier of 10%. In reality, the jobs situation is probably far worse. After the obvious failure of the ill-advised "stimulus" bill, this WH is desperate... and hanging by a thread politically.

Another Appalling Farce from Team Obama

The habitually dishonest Obama Administration has been caught yet again staging the type of Astroturf event they've so often accused their genuine grassroots opponents of doing.

Moonbattery observed that Obama's plastic photo op yesterday with 150 doctors on the WH lawn was intended to demonstrate widespread support for the decaying corpse of ObamaCare... creating the illusion that most doctors somehow welcome an ill-advised statist takeover that would cut their pay and destroy their private practices.

As stated in the NY Post today:

In a heavy-handed attempt at reviving support
for health-care reform, the White House orchestrated a massive photo-op to
buttress its claim that front-line physicians support
Obama.

A sea of 150 white-coated doctors, all enthusiastically supportive of the president and representing all 50 states, looked as if they were at a costume party as they posed in the Rose Garden before hearing Obama's pitch for the Democratic overhaul bills moving through Congress.

The physicians, all invited guests, were told to bring their white lab coats to make sure that TV cameras captured the image.

But some docs apparently forgot, failing to meet the White House dress code by showing up in business suits or dresses.

So the White House rustled up white coats for them and handed them to the suited physicians who had taken seats in the sun-splashed lawn area.

And Gateway Pundit has found that -regardless of WH spin- this was not some ordinary cross-sample of doctors- but rather, all were supporters of the public option, and many former members of 2008's Doctors for Obama organization, conveniently re-named Doctors for America this year.

FOX News reports:

White House spokesman Reid Cherlin described the assembled physicians, from all 50 states, as the best voices for reform because they witness the current health care system on a day-to-day basis.

"These folks know better than anybody about what works and what doesn't," Cherlin told FOXNews.com, adding that the physicians come from "a variety of groups that we work with."

But the doctors in the Rose Garden were all supporters of health care reform -- and the invitation-only guest list drew heavily from Doctors for America... Roughly 98 percent of the group's 15,000 members support a public insurance option, Doctors for America spokeswoman Megan Smith told FOXNews.com.

Cherlin insisted that the doctors "were not invited based on their support for a public option."

Still the White House insisted that these doctors were not invited based on their support?

I don't know about you... but I'm sure sick of having my intelligence insulted by this crew of incompetent Alinskyite con-artists... they're not even that good at it.

Sure don't remember this occurring while they were producing propaganda attacking Bush, Cheney, McCain... or the relentless full-court-press on Sarah Palin, which consists of at least 50% fiction. Then recall the Zogby Poll after the election indicating that millions took these SNL skits as based-in-fact.

MSM Unemployment Stories 13x More Negative Under Reagan than Obama

Still more proof of appalling leftist media bias in the United States- as if any were needed.

A new study from the Business and Media Institute finds 91% of news stories re. unemployment in the 1980s were negative towards Ronald Reagan... while only 7% of coverage has been negative towards the Obama Administration.

The author of this study -Julia Seymore- here contrasts ABC News veteran Charles Gibson's reporting during the Reagan era with today's reprehensible cheerleading for the Obama Administration... when they faced near-identical 9+% unemployment rates (0:57):

Meanwhile, the Dem's misguided $800B Porkulus is a train-wreck, with unemployment soaring and the Dear Leader's promises in tatters. Contrast this with Ronald Reagan's creation of 20M jobs, expanding Real GDP by 30% in the process and you'll see that the liberal press didn't know what they were talking about then... any more than they do now.

Palin was right: America needs more F-22 Raptors

Typically, Obama's Alinskyite allies tried to make hay of Sarah Palin's recent remarks in Hong Kong re. the F-22 Raptor air superiority fighter. Here is what Mrs. Palin said:

"Despite the need to move men and material by air into theaters like Afghanistan, the Obama Administration sought to end production of our C-17s, the work horse of our ability to project long range power.

Despite the Air Force saying it would increase future risk, the Obama Administration successfully sought to end F-22 production – at a time when both Russia and China are acquiring large numbers of next generation fighter aircraft.

It strikes me as odd that Defense Secretary Gates is the only member of the Cabinet to be tasked with tightening his belt."

Texas-4-Palin observed that Media Matters was quick to attack Palin for her remarks, and the always-hysterical Oliver Willis claimed that she "lied" about the fighter. But did the Air Force say that ending F-22 production would increase future risk?

Yes, they did:

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz has stated that 243 F-22s is the military requirement, that 187 (current total) is a "moderate to high risk..."

The chief of the Air Force Air Combat Command, Gen. John Corley said 381 F-22s is the required number, and that ending the program at 187 is a "high risk."

T4P also noted that one of Schwartz's predecessors, Gen. Merrill McPeak (ret.) -an Obama supporter- wrote:

The future air combat capabilities we should build are based on the F-22, a stealthy, fast, maneuverable fighter that is unmatched by any known or projected combat aircraft. But the F-22’s production run may soon come to an end at just 187 planes, well short of establishing the fleet size we need. After all, it’s expensive, and getting more so as the number contemplated has been repeatedly reduced. In an argument they seem to think makes sense, critics say the aircraft has no worthy opponent—as if we want to create forces that do have peer competitors.

Looks like The Killa from Wasilla was right again- and as is so-often the case these days, her critics disingenuous, misguided and just plain wrong.

Yeah, the F-22 Raptor is expensive... but it sure provides a lot better jobs than Obama's pothole-filling projects ever could... adding to our technology infrastructure/base while delivering air-superiority for decades to come.

Apparently the Dear Leader didn't see the wisdom of maintaining such a high-tech defense industry in the face of Chinese and Russian advances. Israel wanted to buy dozens of these planes... but the White House has refused their orders. Why not just sell to them and other close allies, and keep our options -and factories- open?

It's surely not lost on Vladimir Putin that the USSR actually achieved military superiority on Jimmy Carter's watch, as he -like the Boy Wonder- slashed the military budget... and ten western hemisphere countries quickly fell under Soviet control.

The Russians have themselves said they are developing all sorts of new generation weaponry. Pyongyang and Tehran are now working on new ICBMs that will bring Alaska and California within range of their nuclear warheads.... while Chairman Zero cancels missile defense in-order to give "tax credits" to those have never paid taxes in their life.

Barack Obama is basically looting the Treasury, private enterprise, and the military, while running up a debt for the next three generations... all so he can lavish populist spending upon his constituency -and irreversibly expand entitlement programs- while telling the rest of us to just shut up and pay our taxes.

Thank God we've got the principled opposition of Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney -at least- calling Obama on this reckless nonsense, as he guts the greatest military the world has ever seen... in the middle of two wars and a worldwide terrorism threat.

European Left Rapidly Imploding

The socialist parties and policies that Barack Obama so blindly emulates are now in dramatic retreat throughout Europe... as many in the EU finally figure out that none of this big-government stuff works. So why are we saddling our future with monstrous debts- just to adopt such failed, discredited approach in our country?

Pity Europe's Socialists. It's getting lonely on the left.

Just when you might think capitalism's global crisis would breathe new life into the left, it's looking increasingly divided and tired. German Chancellor Angela Merkel's re-election a week ago is highlighting a conservative surge in her country and Europe's other powerhouse economies — Britain, France and Italy — where the center-right is either firmly in power or about to get there.

Note how the left-leaning AP attempts -as did the NYT recently- to chalk this up to the European Right co-opting much of the socialist platform... a very helpful argument for their pal Barack, indicating not that liberal ideas are dead... but rather, that the GOP should adopt them!

Meanwhile, Angela Merkel trounced the Left last week, and she did it while making plenty clear to all that she plans to implement conservative, pro-business policies and tax cuts long blocked by her socialist coalition partners (now out of government).

But she's not a real conservative because she's accepted national health care as a permanent reality? LOL, they've had it over a hundred years in Germany... no politician in their right-mind would try to take away an century-old entitlement like this... and all the more reason for us to be cautious before we take the plunge, eh?

The bottom line is Europeans today want less government, not more... and that they learned this the hard way. Why must we repeat their expensive errors and 30-yr learning-curve in America all over again?

Mark Levin: Screw the Olympics- What about the War?

As usual, The Great One Mark Levin gets right-to-the-point: President Obama needs to get his freaking priorities straight, and now.

Fourty-three Americans have lost their lives in the Afghan field of operation since commanders asked Obama for more troops last month. And there's still no decision... as he wings-off to Copenhagen to try and pay-back the racketeering scum of the Chicago Machine with a massive Olympic windfall to skim-off of.

President Sarkozy tried to tell him at the UN that he needs to make some decisions re. winning the Afghan war- warning that we don't live in a "virtual world". But Sarkozy has also been heard to say that he finds Obama not only incredibly niave... but he's also such an arrogant fool you can't tell him anything... thus the French President's incredible frustration in trying to deal with him.

Wall Street Execs "Betrayed" by Obama

Welcome to the club, boys- right-along with all the other people the Dear Leader used to get into power. And don't be surprised if you're treated like yesterday's garbage now that you're no longer needed by this pompous, self-serving swindler... that's just standard operating procedure in this WH.

As reported in the NY Post, Wall St execs believed what Obama told them when he said he'd be a moderate in office... which was obviously a blatant lie, now that his reckless spending and political brinkmanship have already brought the country to the edge of the abyss. Rather than enjoying the benefits of an economic recovery under sensible WH guidance, dismayed execs are now wondering just how radical this guy is... how much damage he can do, and how far he's willing to go with his rabble-rousing class-warfare rhetoric and agenda.

But they shouldn't feel too bad... according to neoneocon, bewildered financial advisers in Obama's own administration such as Giethner and Summers -even Volcker- have complained in private that they are rarely consulted by the hubristic, deluded Obama on any policy- basically the same treatment that Hillary and Gen. McChrystal have been getting from him. So where is Obama getting his advice in an area which he knows so little about? neoneocon tells us -here-... and it's not reassuring.

That's how it works with a disloyal narcissist like Barack Obama; those who can no longer bring him incremental power and control are of no interest to him whatsoever. Just ask former close Obama friends, allies, and/or sponsors Wright, Rezko, and Blagojevich- or anyone else who became a burden to Barack... and therefore are now treated like lepers whom he's never even met.

Barack takes care of Barack... first and foremost. The radical, Alinskyite/Marxist agenda is second... and the Democratic Party third.

All the rest of you who supported Obama as a post-partisan, post-racial, and/or a moderate have been lied-to, tricked, and used.

Realize that, and pray for the country that you handed to this megalomaniac... a gargantuan mistake for which we'll all pay dearly.

More Independents Leaning GOP; Party Gap Smallest Since 2005

According to pollsters at Gallup, 48% of Americans identified politically as Democrats... or said they were independent but leaned to the Democratic Party.

At the same time, 42% identified as Republicans or as independents who leaned Republican. That six-point spread in leaned party affiliation is the smallest Gallup has measured since 2005.

The last time Republicans were this close to Democrats in terms of total party support was back in early-mid 2005... when George W. Bush was just in the early months of his second term as president... Read more -here-

Palin's "Going Rogue" Already #1

Sarah Palin's anxiously-awaited Going Rogue -not slated for release until November 17th- has surprised many observers by already going to #1 at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com.

A Palin source told POLITICO that she "is very grateful" for the strong early sales.

"This book has taken off like a rocket," the source said.

This alarming development should have the long knives of the Left coming-out in a panic-stricken haste- but as Dan at Riehl World View notes, even the right-leaning, Alexander Hamilton-founded New York Post did a harsh, factually-nonsensical Page-Six hit piece on Palin this week. So you have to wonder: who on the Right would want to do a thing like that? (you get one guess...) Read-up on that -here-

And while the Post's purporting that their "industry expert" source feels "blithering idiot" Palin has little hope on the lecture-circuit, they somehow overlook the fact that Palin is already receiving hundreds of speaking offers, as noted by Jammie-Wearing Fool -here-

They also fail to touch-on just how this simpleton could have accomplished so much in life... especially when compared to the smiley styrofoam dink the press is propping-up in the WH now.

Back in reality, Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until Palin stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine? Instead of always taking the easy, opportunistic way with shady political operators like Tony Rezko? Racist preachers and domestic terrorists? Doing business with every last one of them?

As Team Obama is well-aware, the American people could end up voting for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves in 2012- as they’ll surely being looking for an antidote to the Bolshevik con-artist who's currently taking a wrecking-ball to this society. Small wonder then that the far-left moonbats of the MSM and blogosphere -in concert with David Plouffe's Organizing-for-America internet squad- are out to destroy her.

The fact that Sarah Palin's been highly-successful in life -while ignoring the liberal feminist model- is a intolerable humiliation to the Left... this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in these relentless and shameful character-assasination attempts.
