Stunned witnesses reported seeing a comet-like fireball in the sky and a number of local residents took photos of the strange ball of light.
A local bus driver, giving his name only as Yu, said he had seen a strange glowing object in the sky late on Wednesday afternoon. 'The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something,' he said. Inbound flights were diverted to nearby airports while outbound flights were delayed for three to four hours.
Some Chinese experts claimed that the strange sight was actually debris from a US intercontinental ballistic missile. Chinese officials later said that they knew what the object had been but were unable to make it public because there was a 'military connection.' An official statement is expected later today...
In the video of theUFO over China, note the apparent sonic boom:
Not sure RR but seems highly suspect being multiple power lines in the view as well?
I am not arrogant so as to believe we (planet Earth) can be the onlt intelligent life in the vast, ever expanding universe but the pic seems to show no matter the entity that is is human based in origin.
You guys just don't get it, if the Director of NASA wasn't so busy doing Muslim out reach we would already know what this is. But I'm sure since we are dropping the shuttle program he will have "some" time on his hands to give us his professional answer, as soon as he gets back from Egypt that is.
