John Bolton for President...?

Cornered and asked at CPAC if he's running, foreign policy master John Bolton said "I'm thinking about it... and by that I mean I'm thinking about it": that is, he's truly undecided at this point and not merely being coy.  Bolton added that there's a number of factors to consider, and he's in no rush... could even toss his hat in at the end of the year.

While noting that he's never run for public office in his life, Bolton stressed that his mission would be to bring the foreign policy debate "front and center"... forcing not only GOP candidates to articulate positions, but the White House as well.... as they appear to have no clue:

Although John Bolton has long had his reservations regarding the Obama Administration's hare-brained foreign policy, the pitiful performance in the Egypt crisis seems to have created almost a sense of panic: even Bolton's in shock at diplomatic bungling that he called "hesitant, inconsistent, confused... and just plain wrong".

He went on to call Obama "weak" and "indecisive" on foreign policy issues, and when asked specifically about the revolution in Egypt, Bolton was blunt to his CPAC audience: "We don't have the leadership in the White House that can deal with it".

OHHHHHH thats for sure.
Bolton, if he doesn't make the nomination, would make a great second in command!

He'd make a great National Security advisor.

Everything about the Obama administration is an "INTERRUPTION" to their socialist agenda for America. They are so focused on turning America more and more and farther and farther left with LEGISLATION AND REGULATION....that they could give a flying flip about foreign policy.

It shows in every aspect of their foreign policy iniatives...It shows in not wanting to deal with Hispanics sneaking into the country all the way to Iran and Egypt and their handling of Israel.

I myself adore Bolton- foreign policy is my own hot button issue, and this guy's got it all figured out imho

I also adore Bolton. I see a lot of talk about this and a lot of comments that no one knows where he stands on social issues.

I can't imagine that he would not be conservative on all fronts, but it would be good for him to begin talking if he is thinking about it.

If I assume he will not be President, I would like to see him as Secretary of State.

Right on, Maggie- as usual we see eye to eye

And fwiw, Bolton recently put some hints out on domestic issues... seemed a fiscal conservative first and foremost, he of course sees the national defense issues in our nation's debt crisis... more than most he knows what the Chinese are up to.

And like any great diplomat, Bolton always takes the long view... very proactive thinker and strategist imo
