Democrats Want to Control YOUR State's Voter Registration

U.S. Congressman Keith Ellison (D-Minn-5th) has proposed legislation to keep your state and mine from choosing how they identify voters at the polls. Ellison wants NO IDENTIFICATION at the polls IN YOUR STATE!

A Minnesota congressman has proposed federal legislation that would impose his state's type of voter registration – which leads the nation in voter fraud cases – on the other 49 states, according to critics who have launched online campaigns to make people are aware of the dangers of Rep. Keith Ellison's H.R. 3316 and its companion H.R. 3317.
"Our votes control trillions of public dollars, yet Ellison would have us believe nobody would ever steal them. We can trust everybody, right?" said a commentary posted on the Election Integrity Watch site.
Congressman Keith Ellison of Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District wants to impose Minnesota’s loose election system on the nation. He’s introduced two bills to impose the worst two aspects of Minnesota’s system on the entire country. The combination exponentially undermines election integrity.
Ellison’s “Same Day Registration Act” would require all states to allow unverified voters to register and vote on Election Day. This bad idea is exacerbated by the second bill, the “Voter Access Protection Act,” which would prohibit states from requiring voters to show photo ID.
Ellison says his proposals are needed to “curb voter suppression” and protect the rights of young, elderly and minority voters, but photo ID laws in 14 other states have been challenged in the US and state Supreme Courts and plaintiffs have not yet produced a single voter who would be disenfranchised by those laws.
The net effect of Ellison’s two bills is to allow anyone and everyone to cast a ballot on Election Day without any mechanism to verify their identity, citizenship, eligibility, or that they live in the state and precinct they are voting in.
The straight-forward attempt of a U.S. Congressman to fix elections is no surprise, but it is disgraceful and Minnesota voters should be outraged, along with the rest of the country.

Ellison's H.R. 3316  takes away your state's right to ask for photo I.D. Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-WI-4th) is the only co-sponsor. Ellison's H.R. 3317 to allow anyone to vote by registering on election day is also sponsored by Moore, meaning that election officials have no time to verify the voter.

If you have followed Ellison's legislation throughout the years, you know no one with any respect for the U.S. Constitution wants any part of an Ellison plan. American's are fortunate that Ellison is a member of the Congressional 10% Club, meaning that he is one of the worst offenders of not bothering to vote. Very, very fortunate for you and me.

At least one candidate, Chris Fields, has announced he will oppose Ellison in the November 2012 elections. Fields is a former Marine.

My state of Oklahoma passed Voter I.D. requirements summer 2011. A photo I.D. is now required before you can vote. YAY Oklahoma!

Thanks to tipster Judy W, who reminds that while Republicans control the House, Obama is fond of Executive Orders. Whether he could put these two bills into law through an EO, or not, I don't know, but I do know we should never underestimate him to always do the lawless thing.

Please, do contact your Congresscritter in Washington, even if you feel this could never pass. It's time to light up the switchboards over EVERY egregious act by Democrats, right up to election day. Remember, if we don't talk about it with family and friends, or write about it if we can, no one will know the real Democrat goal.
