TGIF Rock-n-Roll Oldies: Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company- 1967
Big Brother and the Holding Company came together in 1960's San Francisco, springing from the same historic Bay-area scene that produced the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and others.
While the band was formed before Joplin came along, they became famous shortly after absorbing her as lead singer. The chemistry worked, and soon they released what many consider to be a truly epic rock-n-roll record, the US #1 Cheap Thrills...

Never Forget:
Arizona State Capitol, July 31st, 2010
This infantile tantrum of a protest was in reaction to passage of Arizona's SB1070- take a moment to re-aquaint yourself with the reality of what the illegals Obama can't wait to pardon/register as Dems think of our nation's proud traditions, honor, and veterans' sacrifice: sadly, not much better than the rest of the traitorous, self-hating 'progressive' Left...

Now Approaching Offutt Air Force Base...
Offutt Air Force Base -a USAF installation near Omaha, Nebraska- is today home to the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), the Air Force Weather Agency, and the 55th Wing of the Air Combat Command, serving as HQ to each.
The base has been with us for some time, and has a storied past: US Army first began flying out of Offutt late in WWI, initially as a balloon field in 1918. It was thus named in honor of World War I pilot and Omaha native 1st Lt. Jarvis Offutt in 1924.

Offutt AFB happens to be where the first two atomic bombers were constructed in complete secrecy in 1944-45 -inc. Enola Gay- and was also HQ of the former Strategic Air Command (SAC), home for its associated ground and aerial command centers for the U.S. in case of nuclear war during the Cold War...
Ohio State Schools George Mason, 98-66
After a faltering 2-11 start last night, the Scarlet-and-Gray made plain why they're the top-seeded team in this year's NCAA tournament in their dispatching of the George Mason University Patriots... by 32 points.
