Obama's Mother Had Health Insurance. It Paid for Almost Everything: More Obama Lies

The Hollywood fantasy of Barack Obama produced in The Road We’ve Traveled has a level orange puke alert for several reasons. It’s not an insignificant thing when one’s Mother dies, especially when she is only 53 years old. It’s also not insignificant when you have America’s pulpit and you lie about your own Mom’s story to achieve a Socialist agenda. Obama did that all through the 2008 election, all throughout the health care negotiations that were never negotiated, and he is on the road once again maligning her perceived problems. She had problems, but the problem was not a lack of health insurance. See a video below.

In 2008 Obama said this:

“For my mother to die of cancer at the age of 53 and have to spend the last months of her life in the hospital room arguing with insurance companies because they’re saying that this may be a pre-existing condition and they don’t have to pay her treatment, there’s something fundamentally wrong about that.”
…the DNC tells the story of how Barack Obama was motivated to pass Obamacare by the passing of his mother who, living in Jakarta, suffered from violent abdominal pain and was misdiagnosed with appendicitis.
It wasn’t until she flew home to the U.S. from Jakarta to have her appendix removed that she was properly diagnosed. Apparently, Jakarta’s doctors failed to recognize ovarian cancer. Mr. Obama’s mother, the DNC mailer explains, succumbed to the illness “a short time later.”…
…He carried the memory of that pain in his heart every single day when fighting for real health insurance reform.
President Obama will not stop fighting until every American has access to quality, affordable health care when they need it. The lives of millions of people facing similar challenges as his mother did depend on it.
Obama has often claimed his Mother had a pre-existing condition, but she was simply misdiagnosed in Jakarta before coming to the U.S. for treatment.

Some background on Dunham at the time of her illness: At the time Dr. Ann Dunham Soetoro was in Jakarta, she was working for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), publicly acknowledged to be a CIA front.  I have no idea if Dunham had anything to do with the CIA. I see plenty written, but have no confirmation.

Way back then, Dr. Dunham Obama Soetoro’s base salary was $82,500 annually, plus a housing allowance, and a car. That’s $123,243.00 in U.S. dollars today. Dunham was living well in Jakarta. During the time she was with USAID, she also worked for the Ford Foundation under Peter Geithner, the father of current U.S. Secretary of Treasury, Tim Geithner. I don’t know her specific  Her speciality was microfinance. In the ’80′s with her position with USAID, she was a consultant to the Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan. Much of Dunham Soetoro’s work was funded by the World Bank.

She received a Masters and a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii. The University is also home to The Ann Dunham Soetoro Endowed Fund. It is unclear who funds the Endowment.

Actor Tom Hanks – Narrator: “He knew from experience the cost of waiting.”
President Obama : “When my mom got cancer, she wasn’t a wealthy woman and it pretty much drained all her resources”
Michelle Obama: “She developed ovarian cancer, never really had good, consistent insurance. That’s a tough thing to deal with, watching your mother die of something that could have been prevented. I don’t think he wants to see anyone go through that.”
Janny Scott is an Ann Dunham biographer. According to Scott, she had access to correspondence between Dunham and her insurance provider, CIGNA. The dispute was not over health insurance, it was over a disability claim.
Scott writes that Dunham, who died in 1995 of uterine and ovarian cancer, had health insurance that “covered most of the costs of her medical treatment…The hospital billed her insurance company directly, leaving Ann to pay only the deductible and any uncovered expenses, which, she said, came to several hundred dollars a month.”
In the article linked above, Janny Scott refers to Michelle Obama’s claim that Ann Dunham Soetoro’s cancer could have been prevented, intimating if she had had insurance, but she did have insurance. Ovarian is a very difficult disease to catch early, and she chose to live in a country that likely did not have a reputation for treating cancers. That’s demonstrated by her decision to return to the U.S. Do read the Janny Scott article. It’s a good one.

Dunham filed for disability payments to cover her living expenses. CIGNA refused. Dunham Soetoro sent them a letter, warning them she was turning the case over to her son, the attorney, Barack Obama. Obama lost that one, as far as we know. Author Scott Wright had access to the same documents and has the same details in his book.

I said above that Obama’s mother’s problem was not that she did not health insurance. I acknowledge that Barack and Michelle Obama likely see any out-of-pocket expense as a travesty. The Obama solution is to ask the Government or laughably, insurance companies, to pay everything. Like the contraception that religious institutions will not be paying for…except for those who churches, institutions and affiliates which self-insure. You and I know that premiums will simply go up across the country to pay for free contraception. You and I pay the premiums. We have no waivers. That’s the Obama-way.

The video below is an older one from Glenn Beck’s radio program. It’s worth watching. There are a wealth of Obama clips surrounding his Mother’s health care, and the little lies – not so white, of the health of others that he has told – all twisted lies.
