Trump Mulls Herman Cain's '9-9-9' Tax Reform Plan Over Manhattan Power Lunch

"If he would choose to endorse me, that would be huge..."

Trump himself didn't comment on specifics following the meeting, but said he was flattered that candidates were reaching out to him. The lacquer-haired mogul added he was 'undecided' on any endorsement...

Republican Herman Cain on Monday became the latest presidential candidate to meet with Donald Trump - and Cain said later that the real estate mogul was receptive to his pitch.

"He likes my 9-9-9 plan," Cain said after the meeting, referring to his proposal to eliminate the current tax system and replace it with a 9 percent personal income tax, a 9 percent corporate income tax and a 9 percent national sales tax.

The former Godfather's Pizza executive said he talked with Trump about how his plan will improve relations with China and other countries. "As you know, (Trump) has been very, very critical about how China is taking advantage of the United States because of some the cost of their goods. 9-9-9 basically levels that playing field," he said.

Like most of Cain's financial/business plans, '9-9-9' is well thought ought and goal-oriented. Reflecting the man's background, his proposals are specific and realistic in assumptions, expectations, and goals.

Yet if I've got an issue with it, it's the establishment of a
national sales tax (yikes!).

Besides the affect on America's already-pitiful level of demand, just imagine what the Dems will do with that if they ever get their grubby little paws on the purse strings again.  The VAT on major purchases In Europe peaks around 22%... small wonder the heinous Obama regime are so damn jealous of them and their socialist cash-sucking machines they call 'government'.
