ObamaCare: Losing Everyone, Fast

As Morris and McGann wrote in the New York Post- Obama's HC scheme is indeed "losing everyone"- and quick.
The elderly were the first group to turn against President Obama's health-care proposals, alienated by the plans to cut $500 billion cut from Medicare. The young and the uninsured may be the next to jump ship -- out of worry over about the huge premiums they'd have to pay.
Requiring everyone to buy insurance will impose a massive tax on all who now are uninsured. The CBO projects that it would force the middle-income uninsured to pay on average more than 15 percent of their income.... The poor will still have Medicaid, But for those earning more the required premiums will be worse than any tax increase
....The young and uninsured will catch on: This bill is designed to force healthy people who don't have health insurance -- and may neither need nor want it -- to buy it anyway, in order to raise the money to subsidize those who do need it.

Morris then tells us why Obama has now painted himself into a political corner:
No matter how Democrats get the money to cover those who need insurance, they offend supporters that they need to pass the bill:
* If they get the money from more Medicare cuts, they alienate the elderly still further.
* If they get it from raising the deficit, they lose moderates.
* If they hike taxes to do it, they lose the "Blue Dog" Democrats who've gone on record as opposing such increases.
* If they don't increase the subsidies, they lose the uninsured themselves.
The president's speech on Sept. 9th gave him a 7-point bounce in approval for his initiative, bringing it back above 50% in polls- until it crashed hard a week later without any major new negative issues to explain this. Obama is in real trouble on this bill... and thus is his presidency.

As the public has risen-up against this misguided socialist legislation, Rasmussen reported a new-record of 56% disapproval on Friday... an incredible 11-point plunge in support in little over a week.

ObamaCare is in-reality an epic power-n-tax grab, effectively nationalizing 17% of US GDP... and those who gave him the benefit of the doubt before realizing this are now bailing. Polls show most people think medical services would get worse and cost more -regardless of what Obama is drumming into their skulls like a Mountain Dew jingle. And when added to already unpopular auto and bank bailouts, Barack would then have created a huge state sector along the lines of France... when most people in this country are against this in-principle, so unsurprisingly they're now feeling that he's gone way too far with the nationalization spree.
Even Rasmussen's poll of those who lack health insurance indicates that they're starting to turn skeptical. It's supposed to help them, yet they back it by only 58%-35%... and only 30% strongly. Some of Obama's other biggest supporters -like surprisingly the youth under 30- have also turned tail on ObamaCare.

An increasingly-desperate Barack Obama swarmed-over the Sunday news shows personally... as Larry Axelrod stumbled through a fluff interview with CNN, if you can believe that. As Gateway Pundit said re. this statist carpet-bombing of an otherwise enjoyable Sunday morning, Obama's presidency is morphing into a tiresome, marathon-length Sham-Wow infomercial.

Perhaps a little less preaching -and a little more listening- is what's called for... that's sure what the polls suggest. Trouble is that what they're telling him is unpalatable for Obama: he needs to scrap this clunker and go back to the drawing board... this time with GOP input... a political catastrophe for the hubristic rookie. The always-entertaining No Sheeples tells us how Obama's tedious strutting and fretting on Sunday talk-shows was -alas- still yet more cowbell- and unlikely to right this sinking ship.

Sick of the ceaseless MSM's propaganda speil -and seeking the truth- web traffic reports indicate a surge in interest from American internet users re. the UK's National Health Service... Bungalow Bill has a good bit on that -here-

And seeking the truth as well, Riehl World View took a peek at Obama's actual record re. as an Illinois Senator... where he consistently voted for the same type of "reforms" he's now proposing with ObamaCare, along with specious, mathematically-nonsensical promises. Seems that things didn't exactly go to plan, either... more -here-

The White House is of course spamming Americans like an online-Viagra outfit, while engaging yet again in the habitual dishonesty that's already reduced their credibility to one micron- Right Pundits presents and attempts to sort-out the latest Chicago-style lies and distortion from David Axelrod -here-

The president's obsecious press-pool poodles have long-ago placed all their chips on blue- and are therefore spinning outrageous falsehoods to save this little join-project of theirs... attempting to throw cold water on the TEA party movement by telling us how 60,000 people were all that showed up in DC on 9/12. But how might they explain this telling panoramic shot of the demonstration from MAinfo, then?

Moonbattery also shows us -with convincing video evidence- how "estimates" of 60-70K coming from the ultra-biased MSM and others on the Left aren't even remotely credible ... more serious observers put the crowd size on the DC Mall at 1.7M+... -here-

Team Obama's own hypocritical Astroturfing is in overdrive, too. Who's behind the latest rent-a-mob protests against "Big Insurance"- the strawman class-enemy that these Alinskyites have chosen to exploit by framing as an enemy of the people? Michelle Malkin takes a look at the usual far-left suspects (at it again)... -here-

For those interested in the real grassroots movement in America today, Smitty at The Real McCain is following the route of the TEA Party Express- with map, even. Proclaiming "We are the Road Crew", he brings us up to date with this true patriots' movement -here- Time to let-it-rock, then...
