Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14.
That matches the lowest rating yet recorded for this President...
More fun facts from Rasmussen:
- By a 3-to-1 margin, voters believe that tax cuts will create more jobs than additional government stimulus spending. Most also believe that canceling the rest of the stimulus spending will create more jobs than spending the money that’s been approved. On both topics, the Political Class disagrees.
- Republicans continue to hold a six-percentage point lead on the Generic Congressional Ballot.
- 51% Oppose Decision To Try Terrorists in New York City
- Just 33% Say U.S. Heading in Right Direction
Note that Rasmessen PAI polls are responses from a sample of likely voters. Some other firms base their approval ratings on samples of all adults- President Obama's numbers are always several points higher in a poll of just adults... rather than likely voters.
That's because some of the President's most enthusiastic supporters, such as young adults, are less likely to turn out to vote, among other factors.
