The ICC was negotiating the evasive heir-apparent's transfer to The Haag already- what does this say about the enigmatic rebels we've all but installed in Tripoli? When asked, the only thing the main rebel spokesman had to say -in his best imitation of Baghdad Bob- was "This could be all lies!"... this as the elusive younger Gaddafi spoke on live television:
What we do know is that the regime spokesman and favored son Seif al-Islam Gaddafi's sudden appearance at a Tripoli hotel came as a shock to all, and prior to that celebrations on the streets of Tripoli had already all but disappeared due to fear of residual regime snipers and/or continued fighting.
Events have now shown them that they were right to be -and remain- plenty scared... this one may not be over. And while the Gaddafis' credibility is dubious at best, even the rebels admit brigades of Gaddafi loyalists remain on the outskirts of Tripoli, and "could be in the center of the city in half-an-hour."
Asked if his father was OK, an almost-cocky Seif al-Islam replied "Of course".

It was his other son - Bobby Qaddafi - who was captured. He's the love-child of Mo'amar and a New York hotel cleaning maid.
ha ha ha
The Rebels are being funded/backed by the US & NATO. They are punishing Gaddafi for not handing his money over to the banking oligarchy that runs the World Bank, IMF, BIS, etc. Did you see where the Rebel's new constitution is all about sharia law. That's right, after a multi-billion, maybe trillion dollar "war on terror", we're backing/hiring rebels to set up a Sharia law government. This is according to Anne-Marie Slaughter, former state dept. official who said that the last 6 months (of rebel-backing) in Libya has accomplished more than 30 years of traditional diplomacy.
Please read/watch John Perkins for an explanation of how these "kinetic actions" typically unfold.
I, for one, am tired of this kabuki theater that kills.
