Love ZZ top. They came Tulsa's new venue but I had to miss it. Then they came to Branson with Lynerd Skynerd in an outdoor theater. Had to miss that one too.
The reviews said pot pipes and spilled beer was everywhere:-)
Living in Jacksonville, FL I have seen Lynyrd Skynyrd probably about 15 times. But never since about 1972, before they made any records. They were only 5 guys back then - no piano or 3rd guitar. And a lot better. They were far more hard rock oriented and less 'Southern' rock. About 80% of their live show was original material. None of that stuff ever made it onto their records. Thank you Al Kooper.

Just like sports perhaps- better on TV lol
I caught them live twice, the first time in '78 was my second concert ever
And I saw Rossington-Collins band in 1979, that was all the surviving Skynyrd members, now they're touring with only one guy original

It's obvious Jesus has been gone from Chicago for quite some time...and I don't mean *The Prince* living in the White House.
Goes without saying I'm jealous, Otis- wow
And right on TPP... ole Chi town is pretty godless, ain't it
Dad saw these guys with Tom Petty in concert in Florida not too long ago. Pocket dialed me and I got to hear 'Pearl Necklace' compliments of AT&T ;-)
Rock on RR!
Thanks Red
I hear the ZZ Top boys are good Republicans, too- somebody who met them down your way described them as "Ditto Heads"
And of course they're proud of their faith...
I just saw them last night in Solomon's Island, MD. Great show.
