New RNC Website Debuts

A new online home for the Republican Party is now up and running, as the party's website has been updated comprehensively- intended to provide a whole new direction for GOP fundraising, social-networking, and distribution of information.

As Chairman Michael Steele jumps from the screen to offer you a brief introduction, it becomes apparent that a light has finally gone-on down there... as they reach-out to -and attempt to capitalize upon- the powerful, spontaneous grass-roots energy of the TEA party movement.

There's a clear effort here to plug-in to the potential of online social media, as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr are given prominent space and positioning on the pages. Perhaps the Party grandees are finally learning a thing or two from Sarah Palin...?

The appearance and utility of the site is a breath of fresh air, too- there's handsome graphics and easy-to-use menus, a dynamic header featuring user-submitted pictures of GOP supporters, and all with a common theme throughout- user involvement, feedback, and interaction.
The site is clearly a keystone in Steele's efforts to re-brand the Republican Party. Its success in rallying and creating synergies with the GOP's grass-roots going into the 2010 midterms -just 13 mos from now- will surely make-or-break his chairmanship...
