Pelosi: NO ObamaCare Vote This Year

Politico reports that SanFranNan is now "predicting" that job creation and deficit reduction will be the focus of her legislation into midterms in 2010 – and that public support for health care reform will "rebound" once a bill has been sent to President Barack Obama.

Pelosi made the comments at a year-end roundtable with reporters where she described herself as back in full campaign mode already as she purported to be confident House Democrats will retain "a strong majority" after the 2010 elections.

Interesting that many less-biased observers see instead potential for a bloodbath, with the Dems losing as many as 100 seats to the GOP if inflation bites hard enough and the job-creation remains comotose. And their support is rapidly eroding already, with independents running away like someone yelled "fire"...

A new Wall St Journal/NBC poll has the power-drunk Democrats' support utterly collapsing:

"For Democrats, the red flags are flying at full mast," said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted the survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. "What we don't know for certain is: Have we reached a bottoming-out point?"
