ABC News staffers got a chilling memo yesterday that promises to leave no part of the organization untouched in major cutbacks that will lead to massive personnel reductions by the end of 2010.
ABC News President David Westin specified no numbers, and was short on specifics, but it's believed the cutbacks will make redundant as many as high as 25% of the ABC News staff, which currently totals about 1,400.
"We will likely have substantially fewer people on staff at ABC News," Westin said in his memo, according to the AP via Yahoo. If they want to be around in three years from now, I would suggest they keep Jake Tapper... about the only real journalist they've got.
The model going forward for the obsequious hacks that inflicted Barack Obama on this country?
The New York Times -already a moral black hole- sold their last scraps of integrity to ruthless Mexican oligarch Carlos Slim. Terms appear to be that they can continue to lick Dear Leader's posterior and slander Palin ceaselessly, all they have to do in exchange is bury stories detrimental to... Carlos Slim.
