The Great Unifyer Running Out of 'Rich' and 'Racists' to Slander- Now to Turn Guns on Entire TEA Party?

He's already denigrated everybody else who's
called him on this scam of a presidency...

A wild debate is reportedly now raging-on between various WH advisors, the DNC, and congressional Democrats as to how best to deal with their current predicament... a hostile electorate that simply can't wait to dash into that voting booth and make them redundant.

The New York Times today:
President Obama’s political advisers, looking for ways to help Democrats and alter the course of the midterm elections in the final weeks, are considering a range of ideas, including national advertisements, to cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists, people involved in the discussion said.

White House and Congressional Democratic strategists are trying to energize dispirited Democratic voters over the coming six weeks, in hopes of limiting the party’s losses and keeping control of the House and Senate. The strategists see openings to exploit after a string of Tea Party successes split Republicans in a number of states, culminating last week with developments that scrambled Senate races in Delaware and Alaska.

“We need to get out the message that it’s now really dangerous to re-empower the Republican Party,” said one Democratic strategist who has spoken with White House advisers but requested anonymity to discuss private strategy talks.

Democrats are divided. The party’s House and Senate campaign committees are resistant, not wanting to do anything that smacks of nationalizing the midterm elections when high unemployment and the drop in Mr. Obama’s popularity have made the climate so hostile to Democrats. Endangered Congressional candidates want any available money to go to their localized campaigns.
But Neil Gardiner from London's Telegraph says not only is such an idea unlikely to work... it "smacks of desperation":
This is the clearest sign yet that the Obama White House fears the tremendous energy the Tea Party movement has brought to this November’s Congressional race. What the Obama administration once dismissed as an inconsequential, rag tag organisation has evolved into a full scale political revolution that threatens to storm Capitol Hill six weeks from now. But if it thinks it can quell the rebellion by painting the Tea Party as a bunch of “extremists” it is sadly mistaken.

Poll after poll shows that the Tea Party’s anger over the rise of Big Government, the mounting budget deficit, excessive government spending, and spiraling entitlement programs are now shared by a clear majority of the American people. If the Obama team believes it will make political capital out of slandering the views of the Tea Party it is hugely misreading the general mood of the country. The grassroots organisation’s stunning success is symbolic of a deep-seated rejection across the United States of a “transformational” president who is making America poorer, weaker, more indebted and significantly less free.

The White House’s planned assault is yet another example of an elitist presidency that is spectacularly out of touch with the American electorate, and increasingly digging its own political grave. Unfortunately for President Obama, it is his own policies, rather than the ideals of the Tea Party, which the American public increasingly view as extreme.
Maybe someone needs to tell President Obama that the patriotic grass-roots movement he slanders -at his own peril- is favored by over half the US electorate...

On 2nd thought, never mind... he'll be seeing it spelled out in the only way he understands... just 43 days today.
