WHY Immediate Reconsideration of COVID-19 Shutdowns? Because TRUMP's Company Was Forced to Close Most of Its Top Revenue Producers...

Political Wire:
President Trump’s private business has shut down six-of-its-top-seven revenue-producing clubs and hotels because of restrictions meant to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, potentially depriving Trump’s company of millions of dollars in revenue,” the Washington Post reports.

Those closures come as Trump is considering easing restrictions on movement sooner than federal public health experts recommend,
in the name of 'reducing the virus’s economic damage'...

'The coronavirus pandemic cries out for
remedies to remove the President'

Bill Blum @ Common Dreams:
On March 13, in the midst of a deadly pandemic, President Donald Trump was asked if he took responsibility for the nation's lack of preparedness. His reply: 'I don't take responsibility at all.'

Where are impeachment and the Twenty-Fifth Amendment—the two mechanisms provided by the Constitution for removing an unfit President—when we need them the most, as we do right now?

Trump-Russia Cover Up Still Running at Full-Steam: 'BARR Dismantling Charges Filed by Mueller'

Another curious filing by the Department of Justice should not be lost amid news about COVID-19. In yet another reversal in a case initiated by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, DOJ filed a motion this week to dismiss charges against two Russian businesses.

The Justice Department has already filed revised memoranda seeking more lenient sentences for associates of President Donald Trump. And now, it has filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Concord Management and Consulting LLC and Concord Catering, companies run by a man known as “Putin’s chef.”

In 2018, Mueller indicted the two businesses along with 13 Russian individuals and the Internet Research Agency, alleging conspiracy to defraud the United States by engaging in a disinformation campaign to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. The Concord entities are controlled by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a wealthy businessman with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Prigozhin was one of the Russian individuals who were sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury for election interference...

disingenuous, self-serving prick Richard Burr (R-NC)

Propublica:
Soon after he offered public assurances that the government was ready to battle the coronavirus, the powerful chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Richard Burr, sold off a significant percentage of his stocks, unloading between $628,000 and $1.72 million of his holdings on Feb. 13 in 33 separate transactions.

As the head of the intelligence committee, Burr, a North Carolina Republican, has access to the government’s most highly classified information about threats to America’s security. His committee was receiving daily coronavirus briefings around this time, according to a Reuters story...

NIGHT & DAY: S Korea Already Put a Lid on Coronavirus Crisis While Bumbling Trump Regime Still Trying to Scrape-Up Tests, Masks, Ventilators, Q-Tips

Unsettling when you consider that 1st COVID-19 cases in

appeared on the same day...
we could now be facing a half-million dead

In late January, South Korean health officials summoned representatives from more than 20 medical companies from their lunar New Year celebrations to a conference room tucked inside Seoul’s busy train station.

One of the country’s top infectious disease officials delivered an urgent message: South Korea needed an effective test immediately to detect the novel coronavirus, then running rampant in China. He promised the companies swift regulatory approval.

Though there were only four known cases in South Korea at that point, 'we were very nervous. We believed that it could develop into a pandemic,' one attendee, Lee Sang-won, an infectious diseases expert at the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told Reuters.

'We acted like an army' he said...

The Trump Presidency is OVER

Peter Wehner @ The Atlantic
When, in January 2016, I wrote that despite being a lifelong Republican who worked in the previous three GOP administrations, I would never vote for Donald Trump, even though his administration would align much more with my policy views than a Hillary Clinton presidency would, a lot of my Republican friends were befuddled. How could I not vote for a person who checked far more of my policy boxes than his opponent?

Mitt Romney May be About to Stick it to Trump AGAIN

GOP Senator Mitt Romney put his money where his mouth is when he voted to convict and remove Donald Trump from office. Yes, it was a symbolic vote that didn’t change the outcome. But Romney nonetheless staked himself to taking a stand against Trump, and he put his career and legacy on the line in the process.

Now Romney is threatening to take another major stand against Trump, and based on his track record, I’m inclined to believe he might actually go through with it...

'Scale of Biden's Rout Has No Comparison'

On Tuesday night Joe Biden engineered one of the most monumental political comebacks in the history of party primaries. The scale of his Super Tuesday rout over three well-funded and hyper-organized Democrats — Bernie Sanders, Michael Bloomberg, and Elizabeth Warren—
has no comparison.

Biden won every state in the South by double digits: Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma. He won Minnesota,
the only contest in the Midwest, by 9 points.

He narrowly won Texas. In the northeast he won Massachusetts, the home state of Elizabeth Warren and remained competitive in Maine, where the race was still too close to call but where Biden had a slight lead...

'Bernie Sanders’ Scandinavian Fantasy'

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., says that his proposals 'are not radical,' pointing again and again to countries in northern Europe such as Denmark, Sweden and Norway as examples of the kind of economic system he wants to bring to the United States.

The image he conjures up is of a warm and fuzzy social democracy in which market economics are kept on a tight leash through regulation, the rich are heavily taxed, and the social safety net is generous. That is, however, an inaccurate and highly misleading description of those northern European countries today...
