Ebullient Brown Surges Into Lead in Massachusetts Senate Race

GOP rising-star Scott Brown now enjoys a four-point lead over Democrat Martha Coakley (Left Coast Rebel), shocking many seasoned observers with the strength and persistence of the his surge in heavily Democratic Massachusetts- the guy was down double digits just ten days ago.

The Boston Herald is showing the local Suffolk University/7 News poll with Scott Brown at 50% to Coakley's 46%. These numbers signify a virtual dead-heat, as the margin for error is 4.4%... but it's clearly state Senator Brown who's got the Big Mo. With the right message for embittered independents and newfound name-recognition, he's raised over a million dollars/day this week...

Impressed? You ain't seen nothin' yet- Pajamas Media/CrossTarget has Brown up by fifteen -here-

And while US Army vet, National Guardsman, and state Senator Brown has risen to the occasion -proving himself to be a brave, principled, and gifted politician that can really connect with people- the politically ham handed Coakley seems to go out of her way to offend vast swathes of voters on a daily basis. This week she's managed to insult not only all Red Sox Fans (Moonbattery), but many Catholics as well (Bungalow Bill)--perhaps couldn't think of any larger blocks to alienate on the eve of a close election?

Dan Riehl took an illuminating look at something that's cooled the electorate on her as much as anything else... Coakley's troubling record as a calloused and arbitrary prosecutor -here-

As the aloof Democrat held desperation fundraisers with DC lobbyists and her pugnacious staff cracked noggins of pesky journalists, Coakley rarely even showed-up at her own campaign events... prefering to linger in her evil lair somewhere cooking-up appalling and wildly inaccurate character assassination attack-ads to jam the all of Massachusetts' airwaves and mailboxes with (Ruby Red Slippers).

Simply put, Scott Brown is looking more likely by the day to make history next week at the expense of the hectoring statist cabal in Washington today... and he's doing it in style. America sure loves a plucky, principled underdog... just as much as they dislike a condescending, detached, and underhanded party hack like Martha Coakley... one Rush Limbaugh dismissed as a "sock puppet" of the Progressive far-left.

Since Massachusetts is as deep-blue as they come, a Brown victory would be more than a stinging rebuke to the misguided Obama administration-- think more along the lines of comprehensive political disaster at the worst possible time, and you'll have an idea.

An idealistic and energetic Senator Brown would simply shatter Barack Obama's fantasy world; his election would likely derail a deeply unpopular HC reform plan, restore the Senate's option of filibuster, provide a massive morale-boost to the GOP... and scare the livin' begeezus out of every Democrat coming-up for election in just ten months from now...

Does that all sound good, or what?

I'll be keeping you updated on Stacy McCain's trip up there to cover the election. He just arrived in Beantown, actually... and how can you not love a sub joint with a motto like this?

►Update: McCain is covering Rudloph Giuliani's campaign swing through the Bay State in support of fellow anti-terror GOPer Scott Brown... catch the latest -here-, he's got a ton of great video

Props to America's Watchtower, who called the rise of Brown a few weeks back, way before anyone else I know- He blogs as Mr Pink Eyes from nearby New Hampshire, you can check out his latest take -here-, I read it every day.
