Chairman Zero Picks a Fight with Israel- WHY?

Why on Earth has Obama decided to go on the offensive against Israel now- a totally unnecessary spat with one of America's closest allies, and playing right into the hands of their -and our- enemies? That's a good question, especially after the way he's licked Hugo Chavez' posterior. You'd think he has better things to do, and of course this isn't going to accomplish a thing....

Most Israelis have already seen enough, and have no faith in Obama anyway... they'll simply circle-the-wagons and rally in support of Netanyahu. These are a people with strategic insight and common-sense... the target of an extermination plan by Iran and her proxies, Israelis cannot afford a liberal cafe-debate world view like Barack seems to think is so modern. As Geert Wilders has noted, they indeed live on the front-lines of western civilization.

American Power-this week's Featured Blog here at RR- has a post based on Caroline Glick's column in the Jerusalem Post, along with some interesting video that attempts to supply some answers -here-

Buckeyes put UCSB on the Bus, 68-51

A long 50 years since their last national championship, the Big Ten champions and #5-rated Ohio State Buckeyes rolled-through the first round, handling UC Santa Barbara without too much difficulty, 68-51... OSU's record-setting sharpshooter Jon Diebler led with 23 points.

The Buckeyes (28-7) -#2 seed in the Midwest Regional- advanced to play #10 Georgia Tech (23-12) Sunday at 2:20 p.m. eastern. The Yellow Jackets defeated Oklahoma State 64-59 earlier last night. The winner of Sunday's game advances to a regional semifinal next weekend in St. Louis.

Yeah, OSU cheerleaders have about the most conservative getup in the NCAA, albeit with a lithe Ohio lovely inside... if you've ever seen football's Coach Tressel and his 1959 vest look, then you'll understand the Buckeye-state's fashion theme. And in this day of hard women and lost innocence, there's something to be said for the relative restraint of Columbus...

Democrats in the Deathmobile

Robert Stacy McCain's latest American Spectator column touches on the seeming death-pact congressional Dems have entered into with Madame Pelosi, sacrificing all for the cult of political suicide...

Does anyone else remember what happened Jan. 19? Did anyone else watch the confetti fly and hear the band play in the ballroom of Boston's Park Plaza Hotel two months ago? Or was the election of a Republican to the Senate seat held for more than four decades by Ted Kennedy merely a dream?

Scott Brown won by pledging to be the Senate's "41st vote" against Obamacare, but Nancy Pelosi and her fellow House Democrats seem intent on pretending that Brown's historic victory in Massachusetts never happened as they prepare to enact the president's health care plan By Any Means Necessary.

Pelosi's implacable determination in the face of such clear indicators that voters oppose this measure has left opponents straining for analogies to describe the arguably unconstitutional process. Lindsey Graham insulted the Japanese by comparing Democrats to kamikaze pilots "liquored up on sake" for a suicide mission. It might be more diplomatic to compare Democratic maneuvers to the Animal House scene of Delta Tau Chi brothers crammed inside their hurtling Deathmobile: "Ramming speed!"

It would all be comical were it not for the possibility that this slapstick legislative fraternity prank -- perpetrated by the "Slaughter Solution" with Enron-like accounting gimmicks from the Congressional Budget Office -- might yet become law...

How did we arrive at this juncture?

Rush Quotes from Reaganite Republican

Although I missed it, friend and ally Adrienne was first to inform me that Rush Limbaugh  quoted from my post on the Obama/Fox interview in the opening minutes of Thursday's show- thanks for the mention, big guy!

Mr Limbaugh is of-course conducting an aggressive stop-the-bill effort all this week, with the focus on having listeners melt the phones in DC like never before... click on Rush's banner below for info.

And just keep dialing those universal congressional lines 877-762-8762 and 202-224-3121... like the man says: "if they're busy, keep trying... that's the idea..."

Obama Encounters a REAL Interview- and Doesn't Like It

For the first time in memory, Barack Obama was but back on his heels by a persistent and focused interviewer- Brett Baier last night on Fox. And Dear Leader wasn't digging on the line of questioning, either -not that he likes any questioning, and thus an even more pompous and condescending tone than usual.

Unlike the softballs that snake-fascinated MSM hacks usually serve him on a batting-tee, this Fox interviewer did his best to keep the squirelly Obama on-topic, asking a lot of pertinent questions Obama absolutely refused to answer as he jived, juked, rope-a-doped... then just ran-out the clock... but it sure was nice to see someone try for once.

Obama really comes across as kind of a rude jerk these days- this is the guy they said was so irresistibly charming? Where'd that go- he looks tired, embittered, and above-all frustrated...

GOP Out to 10-pt Lead on Generic Ballot

This is the largest Republican lead in three years Rasmussen has run the poll-

 Other fun facts:
  • Voter unhappiness with Congress has reached the highest level ever recorded by Rasmussen- 71% now say the national legislature is doing a poor job.
  • Voters not affiliated with either major party continue to favor the GOP by a 41% to 22% margin.
  • 71% believe the country is headed in the wrong direction... the highest pessimism since Obama took office... while Dear Leader's own approval index remains deep-cratered at -18%...

Humiliated Obama Grovels before Fox News

After exposing himself as petty, vindictive, and paranoid by going on a completely unnecessary propaganda offensive against top-rated Fox News, Obama has lost this ill-advised war-of-choice... big time.

Regardless of any specious WH narrative re. "not a news organization" and "an arm of the GOP"- Republicans aren't the only ones watching Fox... their ratings often beat all other cable news networks combined. The administration's shameful Alinskyite attacks and boycott have clearly backfired, and reality is slowly sinking-into the thick skulls of Team Obama while the Bolshevik Boy-Wonder watches his HC agenda -and presidency- crumble in his hands. In a reversal that smacks of desperation and defeat, he will do an interview with Fox's Brett Baier tonight at 6pm eastern.

While not much of a Beck fan, I would have insisted the interview be with him- rubbing defeat in his face would hopefully teach the pompous and delusional Obama valuable lessons he never picked-up while having life handed to him and the rails greased by affirmative action programs, a corrupt political machine, and shallow, trendy "progressives"-

Is it DEAD Yet?

Well, no- it's not... and this political Twilight-Zone-episode-from-hell just keeps getting stranger by the minute. Encouragingly, the anti-democratic Democrats attempting to nationalize one-sixth of our economy don't yet have the votes... even if some still think it's  inevitable.

Regardless, the Wall Street Journal makes a pretty solid case that the dubious parliamentary maneuvers currently being attempted are completely unconstitutional... as would be -imo- a personal mandate to buy health insurance. Expect anything to come of this legislative CF to be tied up the courts for years... or at least until massive new GOP majorities come to repeal it.
