Rush Limbaugh Resting Comfortably in Honolulu Hospital


Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh is resting comfortably in a Hawaii hospital after suffering chest pains while on vacation, according the the star's website.

"Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes and will keep you updated via rushlimbaugh.com and on his radio program," the program said in a statement late last night.


Limbaugh was rushed for medical treatment earlier in the day. The statement said "Rush was admitted to and is resting comfortably in a Honolulu hospital today after suffering chest pains."

Of course, the Left side of the blogosphere was ablaze with tasteless cheering, anything from an exhuberant Rush Limbaugh Chest Pains and Rush Limbaugh Heart Attack to the outright delusional wishful-thinking of Rush Limbaugh Dead at 58... this perhaps due to the fact that heavily biased Wikipedia's credibility took yet another hit when the online reference site also promptly declared Limbaugh Dead- good grief.

I honestly don't listen to the Rush Limbaugh Show, but I can't say there's a lot of daylight between our political agendas. It's clear that he's right up-there with the Arctic Fox at the top of ultra-paranoid Dear Leader's "list"... and that makes him an ally to be defended as far as I'm concerned. If nothing else, he's a brave, patiotic conservative- just what's called-for in these dark days for American liberty, and we could use a few more like him...

Dramatic Violence Escalating in Tehran- Next Act of a Democratic Revolution?

Opposition sources in Iran say at least four protesters have been shot dead in violent clashes between anti-government crowds and police. According to BBC sources, government security forces opened fire on protesters as some of the fiercest clashes in months erupted in the capital, Tehran...
With or without Obama's influence, events are moving along rapidly... here demonstrators are fired upon, ala Tienanmen Square 1989:


Opposition parties had urged people to take to the streets as the Shia Muslim festival of Ashura reached a climax- resulting in today's crowds chanting "Khamenei will be toppled" in a reference to Iran's Supreme Leader.
According to reports in The Gardian (UK), and elderly man among dead, claims reformist website, as security forces clamp down on holy day marches across Iran. The nephew of former presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi was among the dead, the BBC has confirmed.
Once again, in a situation that calls for a principled voice of world leadership, we have the Bolshevik Boy Wonder out on the links ... pathetic. Did this self-absorbed twit learn nothing from Jimmy Carter's misguided accommodation of this vile, apocalyptic regime?

Nor from Ronald Reagan's brave and principled support of Solidarity in Poland... thus freeing millions?

Saturday Night Rock-n-Roll Oldies:
Humble Pie- 1969

The English blues-rock band Humble Pie was founded by guitarist and 1960s British Mod icon Steve Marriott as he left the Small Faces in 1969. 

He had wanted to add young Peter Frampton to the band and make changes to their sound, moves opposed by the others- so he went off to form a new band with Frampton, bassist Greg Ridley, and 17-yr-old drummer Jerry Shirley. The residual Small Faces therefore added Ronnie Wood and Rod Steward and rechristened themselves The Faces, of "Stay With Me" and "Maggie Mae" fame.



Although Frampton left in 1971 -and went-on to solo superstardom- Humble Pie continued with his replacement to record such iconic hits as 30 Days in the Hole, I Don't Need No Doctor, and Fool for a Pretty Face in the 70s.

I myself favor the the earlier blues-rock sound of the original 1969 Humble Pie, and it's entertaining to see the talents of the then 20-yr-old Peter Frampton in this clip. This was the band's first single, released after having been recorded in secret home studio sessions right after Marriott left the Small Faces by dramatically walking off-stage in the middle of a New Year's Eve gig.

And for reasons probably only known to the eccentric Marriott, this song's title includes the intentionally misspelled "bugie"- which appears nowhere in the song's lyrics anyway-
