Iceland Volcano May 16

The troublesome Iceland volcano Eyjafjallajökull is acting-up yet again, with no end in sight to the current eruption... and winds now shifting the Iceland volcano ash plume towards the UK and continental Europe. Over thirty earthquakes where felt in Iceland yesterday as well.

The British Department for Transport said that airports across the UK could be closed from today until Tuesday as the cloud of ash being thrown into the atmosphere by the Iceland volcano is carried over the British Isles by the wind. UK's air traffic control service NATS would announce airspace restrictions as they became necessary. Airlines were advising passengers last night to check on their websites and with airports before starting their journeys. German officials also said that the ash plume could cancel flights there as well, and with Frankfurt as an international hub, that spells trouble.
