The volcano eruption in Iceland has lessened slightly since midweek, and the UK air travel officials re-opened UK airports by mid-afternoon Monday, as was the case in Germany- and have remained open since. UK air travel is not likely to be restrained by closed airports this weekend by the Iceland volcano... as it stands now, with the plume headed NE towards Scandanavia. The eruption is still  producing an steady ash plume though, peaking at an altitude of 5-7 km, but since late Wednesday it has reduced to ~3km..
The UK's air traffic control service NATS will announce airspace restrictions as they became necessary, and the link provided below will keep you posted on the latest effects from the Iceland volcano eruption.
