Polish President Dies in Russian Plane Crash



Polish president Lech Kaczynski was among 87 people killed when a plane crashed in dense fog in southwestern Russian region of Smolensk today.
The Tu-154 presidential plane crashed about 300 metres from the runway after hitting tree tops in dense fog, Russia's Emergencies Ministry said.
According to Rossiya 24 TV, there were 87 people on board; all of them died in the crash.
In Warsaw, foreign ministry spokesman Petr Paszkowski said that Polish president Kaczynski was on board the ill-fated Tu-154 aircraft.
Kaczynski was flying with a delegation to take part in the Katyn memorial ceremonies at the site where Polish military officers were executed on the orders of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin during the Second World War.
President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered emergency situations minister Sergei Shoigu to Russia to the Smolensk region to personally supervise rescue work, according to reports.
He also directed prime minister Vladimir Putin to lead the probe. And while it seems to have been (Polish) pilot error and obstinance -as he was advised by the Russians to land elsewhere due to the fog- I would like to see someone a bit more independent look at it- the Kaczynski brothers were no friends of Russia, and he was on his way to a ceremony on Russian soil that exposes Stalin's crimes... the same monstrous Uncle Joe Putin is now in the process of beautifying...
Lech Kaczynski was a good man, good Catholic... and a good friend of the United States- God Bless his soul.

Justice Stevens Retiring

Justice John Paul Stevens, who came to embody the liberal voice on an increasingly conservative Supreme Court, announced Friday that he is retiring – giving President Barack Obama his second seat to fill on the nation’s high court.
Justice Stevens’ announcement, coming less than two weeks before his 90th birthday, was not a surprise but marks the passing of an era on a court he joined in December 1975, an appointment of President Gerald Ford.
Stevens said Friday he will step down when the court finishes its work for the summer in late June or early July. He said he hopes his successor is confirmed "well in advance of the commencement of the court's next term."

We all know one... hard-core hopenchangey type that can't be nudged in the direction of reality even as it's clear that Obama is dragging-down the country around them.  It's not that their belief in Dear Leader is so unshakable, though... rather, they're in deep-denial after making a comprehensive ass of themself glibly explaining-away all the red flags- the radical/communist  associations/statements, corruption, lack of experience/skills, glaring personality flaws like  narcissism and habitual dishonesty- and now they just don't see a way out...


Sounds like somebody's in-need of an intervention!  In-fact, patriots are duty-bound to liberate those still stranded in the residue of the Obamamania cult-  start today by strapping one of these foolhardy enablers into a chair for some Funny Scary Commie Tunes... this ought to do it:
