Condi Rice on Iran: Wretched Islamist Regime has 'No Legitimacy Left'

"We should consider... doing
everything we can to bring it down."

AP via TownHall:
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the U.S. should consider even tougher penalties against Iran's government and "be doing everything we can to bring it down."

Rice tells ABC's "This Week" that the U.S. should never take the option of military force off the table when it comes to dealing with Iran.

She says the current Iranian government is trying to obtain a nuclear weapon and has repressed its own people. Rice says "the regime has absolutely no legitimacy left."

Diplomats have told The Associated Press that the U.N. atomic agency plans to disclose intelligence this coming week suggesting that Iran made computer models of a nuclear warhead.

As a peace-through-strength Republican, I've long maintained that however war-weary as we may be as a nation, the only thing that's ever going to stop this apocalyptic death-cult (a largely incompetent one kept in power by playing off outside 'enemies', both real and imagined) is a military attack... and that Saudi Arabia and even Turkey would be likely to welcome it.  Today we can see myriad additional benefits, as this would avoid an unnecessary and dangerous arms race in the volatile Gulf region, keep Tehran out of Iraq's oil fields, and pull the rug out from under the teetering Syrian regime while cutting-off the flow of money and weapons to Hamas, Hezbollah, and other bloodthirsty troublemakers.

And if we don't bomb Iran now, Israel will.... take that to the bank. I therefore consider it all but inevitable in the short-to-medium term, and far better with the US involved than without: after all, it's our idiot 'leadership' that handed over Tehran to the Mullahs in the first place, paving the way for 40 years of non-progress in every arena... perhaps we owe the Persian people that.

Consider that Iran is the ONE unstable country in the Middle East that would likely move away from anti-Western Islamists if given the chance to escape their current oppressive form of government. Yet rather than support those people when they bravely rose up against the brutal Mullahs/Ahmedinijad in early 2009, Obama looked the other way as Tehran shot unarmed civilian protesters (same crime as Gaddafi!)..

Now this year Obama helped hand Libya over to Al Qaida while ignoring the country that's actually a self-proclaimed (loudly) enemy of the United States and actively working on ways to attack us.... if you're not wondering who's side Barack Obama is on by now you can't possibly be paying attention:

You listening, GOP presidential candidates?

I need an acceptable position on this issue to support you...
