NY-23 SHOCKER : Hoffman SURGES Ahead!

huge news just-in from Stacy at
The Other McCain:

Press release from Club for Growth:
A poll released today by the Club for Growth shows Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman surging into the lead in the special election in New York's 23rd congressional district to replace John McHugh, the former congressman who recently became Secretary of the Army.
The poll of 300 likely voters, conducted October 24-25, 2009, shows Conservative Doug Hoffman at 31.3%, Democrat Bill Owens at 27.0%, Republican Dede Scozzafava at 19.7%, and 22% undecided. The poll's margin of error is +/- 5.66%. . . .
Read the rest -here-... Hoffman has shot from 3rd to 1st in less than a week, as the GOP's horrendous liberal candidate tanking hard.

Stacy reminds us that could be considered an "internal" poll, but it's the only poll released to date that fully refelects the "call the cops" meltdown by Scozzafava and the Palin endorsement. Obviously, these factors had a big impact... not to mention the right-side of the blogosphere!

And it's quickly looking like Newt and the Huckster flat-out blew it- along with the GOP grandees that saddled NY-23 with this unfortunate choice.

More background on Doug Hoffman's incredible and unlikely conservative insurgency campaign -here-

Hoffmania... catch it!

Update: what else is surging? Newt's irrelevancy! Stacy's got that -here-

Plus Moonbattery has a new revelation:

that Scozzafava has got some 'splainin' to do... -here-

And Pawlenty finally decided to follow Palin's lead... now that he's seen the poll numbers... -here- at Texas for Palin.

Newt Gingrich is no longer a viable conservative in my eyes. I will not support him when he picks a center right POS over Hoffman who is what our Country needs! I used to like Newt but not anymore. I am against all center right politicians especially John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and their ilk! Toss them all out! They are the Problem! It's time to take back our country and return it to "We The People!" Nice piece again my friend!

Newt says he will back the Republican over the conservative, I just don't get it. Having an "R" after your name isn't as important as your ideals, being a conservative is what should matter most. What good is it to have a Republican that votes with the administration?
This certainly is good news for conservatives and hopefully a sign of things to come.
