London's Heathrow Airport Closed
The UK's air traffic control authorities pronounced London's Heathrow Airport closed just minutes ago as volcanic ash from Iceland moved too close for comfort. The ash plume -indistinguishable from normal clouds to the human eye- wreaks havoc on airplane engines... with all the expected consequences. With Heathrow closed, the backup will be horrendous from all corners of the globe...
