Foreign Politicians Report Getting Emails from
'Self-Funding' Trump Seeking (Illegal) Donations

Politicians from foreign countries are receiving fundraising emails from Donald Trump's campaign even though such contributions would be a violation of federal law.

Members of parliament in Australia, Iceland, Denmark and Finland have all received the emails, according to Talking Points Memo. Tim Watts, an Australian member of Parliament, said he has received several emails from the presumptive GOP presidential nominee's campaign and thinks his colleagues have as well...

BREAKING: After Stunning Defeat in #Brexit,
British Prime Minister David Cameron Resigns

Jennifer Burke @ Politistick:
British Prime Minister David Cameron was a proponent for Great Britain to remain part of the European Union (EU) but the people of Britain had a different view for the future of their country.

The Brexit push, for Great Britain to leave the EU, had a stunning victory by a 52% to 48% margin. A remarkable 72% of the voting population turned out the vote and the Brexit effort, led by the head of the United Kingdom Independent Party (UKip) leader, Nigel Farage, prevailed.

As it became evident that the LEAVE effort would be successful, Farage spoke at a victory party saying, “If the predictions are right, this will be a victory for real people, a victory of ordinary people, a victory for decent people.” But it was a colossal loss for Cameron with many speculating that he would resign from his position as prime minister.

At approximately 8:15 am London time, 3:15 am Eastern,
Cameron did exactly that during a press conference...

KLAVAN: 'I'm ANGRY- So I'm Voting for Donald Trump!'

Trump Trolls Attempt to Take My Advertising Away by Filing Complaints with AdSense (from India)

Is there any doubt remaining that Trump's online troll army is at least copying the Kremlin's online scorched-Earth strategy, if not actually colluding with Putin's hacker/troll outfit in St Petersburg? This sort of dirty pool ought to be a dead giveaway...

Trump's Campaign Smells Like
One Big Self-Dealing SCAM

Donald Trump is a con man, and if you support him for president,
you are his latest mark.

Commentators have been warning voters of this obvious scam for months. Trump's latest campaign filing makes it clear. The man is unwilling or unable to do what it takes to win a general election, and a huge portion of the money he does raise flows straight into the companies he owns.

It's very possible,' Trump said in 2000, 'that I could be the first presidential candidate to run and make money on it.'

Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., filed its monthly report on June 20, documenting its receipts and disbursements for May, the month in which Trump sealed the Republican nomination and supposedly began
the general election...

He’s Lined Up Excuses,
but Donald Trump Knows He’s Losing

For much of 2015, Donald Trump’s standing primary stump speech included quite a few references to public-opinion polls. The New York Republican saw all the surveys showing him dominating GOP polls for months, and he was eager to tout his advantage on a daily basis.

That bravado, like his polling edge, is long gone.

Though national surveys showed Trump neck and neck with Hillary Clinton a month ago – some polls even showed him inching ahead – the Republican’s recent antics have pushed his support to depths unseen in quite a while...

Trump Poll Numbers in Freefall,

Full Quarter of 1000 on Massive Anti-Trump Conference Call are GOP Convention Delegates....

NYDN:
The Sunday night conference call held by an increasingly emboldened group of Republicans opposing Donald Trump actually had about 1,000 participants on it, not just a few dozen, the call's organizers claimed Monday.

The number would represent a far larger group of people looking to make sure the bombastic billionaire isn't the Republican nominee this November than has been previously reported.

About 250 of the participants were delegates to the Republican National Convention, The Hill reported.

Originally, multiple news outlets reported that only between 30 and 40 people had been slated to participate on the call...

Trump Campaign Hits a Wall

Niall Stanage @ The Hill:

Donald Trump's campaign for the White House is teetering amid
dismal poll numbers, racially tinged controversies and a rising chorus of criticism from within the GOP.

After knocking Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) out of the primary in May,
Trump picked up momentum and made strides in unifying the party.
But the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has failed to pivot to general election mode and is now in his third straight week of bad headlines.

Not surprisingly, the angst in the Republican Party is intensifying...

Orlando Shooter's Ex-Wife to FBI:
'He Had Gay Tendencies'
FBI: 'DON'T TELL THE MEDIA!'

The ex-wife of Orlando mass killer Omar Mateen claimed Monday that she believed he was homosexual — as it was revealed that he frequented the gay nightclub where he staged the nation’s worst massacre in modern times.

Sitora Yusufiy, who was married to Mateen in 2009 for three months, made the shocking claim on Brazilian television station SBT Brazil.

Her fiancé, Marco Dias, speaking in Portuguese on her behalf, said that Yusufiy believed that Mateen had 'gay tendencies' and that his father had called him gay in front of her. Dias also claimed
'the FBI asked her not to tell this to the American media.'

The bombshell came as a male former classmate of Omar Mateen said he had been asked out romantically by the mass killer, who reportedly was a virtual regular at the Pulse nightclub, having visited it more than a dozen times over the years...

If the GOP had Superdelegates,
We Might Not Be in this Trump Mess...

After a convention dominated by party regulars picked
VP Hubert Humphrey for president in 1968,
Democrats promised the next nomination race
would be open to ’68’s outsiders.

George McGovern -who helped draft the new procedures-
went on to capture the nomination,
then lead Democrats to a landslide defeat.

Jimmy Carter, another rules-enabled outsider,
eked out a win in 1976, but his reelection failure in 1980
convinced Democrats to reempower moderate party veterans,
resulting, ultimately, in the superdelegate rule

FACT: Not a Single Republican Delegate
Is ‘Bound’ to Donald Trump

'Those who claim otherwise would
evade responsibility for his nomination'

Let’s begin with a simple proposition: As a matter of law and history, there is not a single 'bound' delegate to the Republican National Convention. Not one delegate is required to vote for Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or any other individual who “won” votes in the primary process. Each delegate will have to make his or her own choice. They — and they alone — will choose the Republican nominee.

The paragraph above contradicts much of what you’ve been told about the presidential nominating process, and it even contradicts state law in multiple jurisdictions, but state law does not govern the Republican party...

Donald Trump’s Presidential Campaign
is Completely Imploding

From his temper tantrums to his inexcusable racism,
the past week has been devastating for Donald Trump

Shortly after Donald Trump was declared the presumptive Republican nominee, there was talk in the media that the spray-tanned billionaire was ready to shift into general election mode. The new and improved post-pivot Trump would sound responsible and tone down his rhetoric; he would
make nice with GOP leadership and start to act presidential.

That lasted about 10 minutes.

Since Memorial Day, the Trump campaign has been imploding just a bit more each day. Instead of playing damage control and getting his act together,
he keeps doubling down...

Did Team Trump Threaten David French’s Wife?

Politics is a rough and tumble game. It's not for everybody. Especially running for President. Chances are (unless you're Barack Obama) you're going to have your life scrutinized like it has never been before, particularly by the media.

When Bill Kristol announced the third party candidate he had tapped to take on Donald Trump was Army Reserve Major, attorney and National Review writer, David French, most people responded with a collective, "Who?" Naturally, fans of National Review and those within conservative circles recognized the name.

The media and also fans of Donald Trump treated the announcement with mockery but as we're finding out, there was somebody behind the scenes who was taking this pretty seriously: Donald Trump.

We know Trump's instinct when challenged is to attack no matter how small or large the challenge may be. During the primaries he'd consistently attack challengers who weren't polling anywhere near the top. It didn't matter. Trump saw them as something in his way, regardless. And he went after them. He says he is the victim in his Trump University case that should have been thrown out and he's going to win easily. Yet he attacks the judge in the case almost every day.

It appears that perhaps Trump and his team didn't see David French as something they could just wave away. I suspect they knew how many conservatives were not going to vote for Trump and even if French pulled in numbers similar to that of Ralph Nader in 2000, it would be more than enough to lose the race to Hillary Clinton.

That could not happen...

Now HERE's an Idea: GOP Convention Should Saddle Trump with an Anti-Trump VP... Like Ted Cruz

Donald Trump’s running mate shouldn’t try to make
Trump’s agenda palatable for conservatives.
Instead, he ought to spend his time undermining Trump...

For those who recognize that Trump is a danger to conservatism as we know it, most of the talk revolving around the effort to stop him has been about finding the right third-party candidate. While that is a good start,
more needs to be done.

Trump has been feeding the process-story-beast about his choice for the vice presidential nomination. It is interesting to hear what he has to say about who his running mate ought to be, but there’s an important detail that keeps getting overlooked: he doesn’t get to choose his running mate.

While delegates may be required to vote for Trump on the first ballot, making him the nominee, that is the extent to which they are bound to him. They are under no obligation to vote for his chosen running mate.

The months of work Ted Cruz (and to a lesser extent, John Kasich) put into the ground in securing people who have a fealty to the conservative movement for those slots, while not denying Trump the nomination,
could pay off, albeit not in the way they anticipated...

If I Lose Friends Over Trump, So Be It

Trump’s supporters are now like roaring drunks in a bar fight,
people who you might have tried to reason with five drinks earlier

I have been thinking about Peter Wehner’s piece in the New York Times yesterday, in which he talks about the sadness of losing friends over
Donald Trump’s candidacy. I have not—yet—lost any friends over Trump,
but it’s possible.

Unlike Wehner, I am less concerned about it. The Trump campaign is a
test of character, and many Americans are failing it...

WHO Deserves Blame for the
Disastrous Nomination of Donald Trump?

This week, the Republican Party wrapped itself in the white flag.

Donald Trump has won enough delegates to to guarantee that he will clinch the GOP nomination. And one of his fiercest opponents, Marco Rubio, cozied up to him, almost begging for a chance to speak at the GOP convention — even after Trump attacked the party’s most prominent Latino.

While a few stray #NeverTrump -ers can be heard in the distance, complaining that the self-proclaimed billionaire 'makes George Wallace look like Churchill' and vowing to never ever vote for a candidate who is the choice of pretty much any strutting online anti-Semite you can find,
resistance is futile.

The GOP is now officially Trump’s party. Yet at the same time, 'Very Serious People' want us to absolve the GOP for delivering us a candidate whose great public accomplishments include getting rid of the talent portion of beauty pageants, using racism to undermine America’s first black president, and winning a major party’s nomination by vowing to ban 1.6 billion people from entering the country...

WaPo: Polling Data Confirms Trumpkins
Constitute Dumbest Voter Base in History

The potential for the 2016 election to widen America's racial voting chasm even further is nothing new. But Washington Post-ABC News polls have also identified a related dynamic: White Americans are splintering along education and gender lines at rates not seen in at least three decades.

These contours are well-known among political watchers; whites without four-year college degrees and men tend to be more Republican than women and college grads. But while these cleavages are seen across elections, it’s easy to forget that the gaps are typically not all that large — at least in comparison to this year...

Unsealed Trump University Playbooks Reveal Repugnant Tactics Employed to Bleed Suckers Dry

Donald Trump promises the world on the campaign trail, and salesmen for his shuttered Trump University did the same in their savvy and duplicitous pitches to potential customers, according to the marketing playbooks they used, which were unsealed Tuesday by a federal judge.

Prospective students were fed specifically choreographed lines from the playbooks — which essentially served as step-by-step guides for Trump University coordinators to complete their sales of the courses — leading many of them to sign up at costs upwards of $35,000.

The playbooks — unsealed by Gonzalo Curiel, the California federal court judge who is hearing the class action case against Trump University — contain what appear to be hundreds of pages of suggested compelling antics for representatives for the school to respond to every conceivable "not interested" line from potential customers and, in turn, convince them to sign up for the pricey programs.

Among them are eye-poppingly aggressive scripts for representatives to explain to leery would-be customers why they should peel out their credit cards on the spot and charge the whopping tuition fees on plastic...
